Callum Styles earned West Brom a comeback point in a 1-1 draw against QPR in the Sky Bet Championship at The Hawthorns, according to Sky Sports' match report.
The result extended Albion's unbeaten home record to 11 games, while QPR remained unbeaten away from home this season. Styles supplied the response after a Chris Mepham own goal had put Rangers ahead.
Styles responds three minutes after QPR opener
Toby Collyer and Conor Townsend were both making their first starts since rejoining Albion. Mepham also came into the side, with the defender taking on the captaincy for the hosts.
Mepham's own goal gave QPR the lead in the 38th minute. Their advantage lasted just three minutes, however, with Albion drawing level in the 41st through Styles.
Playing in an unfamiliar position at right-back, Styles found the equaliser with a low, curling shot from just outside the penalty area.
Second-half chances keep both goalkeepers involved
After the restart, Price went close to giving West Brom the lead for the first time. His curling free-kick required a save from Charles, who tipped the effort away to keep the scores level.
Styles then provided an opportunity from a corner, with Jayson Molumby meeting his delivery at the far post. Molumby's header went a yard wide of the target.
QPR also created an opening inside the box when Poku worked himself free to shoot from 12 yards. O'Leary responded with a flying save that Sky Sports described as vital, denying Rangers the chance to regain the lead.
At the opposite end, Mepham threatened from a Price corner. The Albion captain met the delivery with a firm header, forcing Charles into a falling save as West Brom sought a second goal.
Another corner brought a chance for Rangers, this time supplied by Harvey Vale. Burrell directed a header towards goal, but O'Leary smothered the ball at the foot of the post.
Those openings underline the threat from set pieces in this contest: corner deliveries gave both teams headed opportunities to break the deadlock.
Substitute Jimmy-Jay Morgan then had a late opportunity to win the game for Albion, but could not take it, leaving West Brom and QPR with a point apiece.
