“I found the team aware of what we were unable to achieve last season, but equally aware of our capabilities and what we can do this term,” Spalletti said in his press conference, as reported by Football Italia. “There have been quality performances to give us that belief, but at the same time we must work on our defects. We are quite distant from Scudetto ambition right now.”
The coach’s candid remarks reflect the mounting pressure in Turin, where a return to the summit of Italian football has been elusive since the club’s last title in 2020. Celik signing a boost
One positive development for Juventus was the capture of Zeki Celik on a free transfer. The Turkish right-back had been widely expected to sign a new contract with Roma, but the Bianconeri swooped to secure his services. Spalletti believes the deal demonstrates the pulling power of the club.
