According to a Barcelona statement, the player will undergo conservative treatment and is expected to be available for the World Cup, which begins on June 11. The club's medical team will manage his recovery carefully to ensure he is ready for international duty.

Yamal has been nothing short of spectacular for Barcelona this season. In 28 La Liga appearances, he has netted 16 goals and provided 11 assists, while also contributing six goals and four assists in 10 Champions League matches. His absence leaves a massive void in Hansi Flick's attacking lineup.

For Spain, Yamal is equally indispensable. The winger was named Young Player of the Tournament during their triumphant Euro 2024 campaign and has scored six goals in 25 appearances for La Roja. His availability for the World Cup will be a massive relief for national team coach Luis de la Fuente.

Wednesday's win over Celta Vigo extended Barcelona's lead at the top of La Liga to nine points over second-placed Real Madrid, with only six games remaining.
