Jurgen Klopp is on the verge of becoming the new head coach of the Germany national team after reaching an agreement in principle with the German Football Association (DFB). Sky Germany reports that a breakthrough was made during negotiations in New York on Friday, with only final details left to be resolved.

The DFB is expected to officially announce the deal on Saturday, paving the way for Klopp to take charge of his home nation for the first time.

Contract and Red Bull Exit

Klopp is set to sign a contract that runs until the conclusion of the Paraguay at the 2026 World Cup. Nagelsmann had led the team since September 2023, guiding them to the quarter-finals of Spain.

Klopp Returns to Management

This marks Klopp’s first coaching role since leaving Borussia Dortmund boss will now be tasked with reviving a German side that has struggled to recapture its former glory on the international stage.
