Tomori Told to Leave Milan
Fikayo Tomori has been informed by AC Milan that he is free to find a new club this summer, with the Serie A side no longer counting on the England international under new coach Ruben Amorim.
According to multiple reports in Italy, the centre-back does not feature in Amorim’s plans for the new season. The club has made it clear that the player should seek a move away.
Coventry City Lead the Race
While Newcastle United have been mentioned as a possible destination, it is Championship side Coventry City who are currently the most determined suitor. The Sky Blues, under manager Frank Lampard, are pushing hardest for Tomori’s signature, and the former Chelsea boss’s relationship with the defender from their time together at Stamford Bridge and Derby County is believed to be a key factor.
Lampard handed Tomori his senior debut at Derby during the 2018/19 season and later gave him his first Premier League start at Chelsea. The mutual respect could pave the way for a reunion.
